Currently in Chicago — November 17, 2023: A little rain then a nice weekend

The weather, currently.

Are you getting ready for Thanksgiving travel? Unlike other areas of the US (cough Florida cough), Chicago will have a mostly clear week ahead. We’ve got a 60% chance of rain overnight and into Friday before 9am. But the clouds will gradually clear and we can expect mostly sunny skies over the weekend. Temps will drop to the mid-40s tonight, but only to a high of 48 on Friday, and up to 50 on Saturday and Sunday.

I’m seeing a 50% chance of rain on Monday and Tuesday, but it should be partially cloudy and dry through the rest of the week. If you aren’t traveling this weekend, maybe you’d like to peruse these ideas to celebrate the beginning of the holidays in Chicago.
