Currently in Chicago — November 14, 2023: More sun and a way to adopt a historical plant

Plus, last call for the Currently Weather Service pre-launch survey.

The weather, currently.

The warm clear days continue

The unseasonably warm weather is here to stay for the foreseeable future. After a low tonight around 38 under clear skies, Tuesday will bring a high near 59 and lots of sun, with breezes as high as 20mph. The temps will dip to around 44 on Tuesday night. Wednesday and Thursday will also be sunny, with highs of 60 or more.

Remember the beautiful Crystal Gardens on Navy Pier? It’s being removed for another tourist attraction, but if you want to save a piece of that lovely indoor garden, you can adopt a plant and bring it home with you.

What you need to know, currently.

In order for the new Currently Weather Service to live up to our hype, I want to ask for everyone’s pre-launch thoughts one last time.

This survey will be part of the baseline data we’ll use to build the weather service around the community’s needs and make sure it’s something people love to use. Completing the quick survey will also put you first in line to try out the new weather service yourself.

Could you take this two-minute survey right now to help us understand what your dream weather service might be like? Thank you so much to each of you who have already responded.

The launch version of the weather service dropping later this week is just the beginning. We want to continually improve this service in direct response to what people actually need and how people are using it. And, as you’ll quickly see, the suggestions folks have already made are fantastic. Keep ‘em comin’.
