Currently in Chicago — June 7, 2024: A mild weekend

The weather, currently.

Except for a possible squall scooting through on Saturday, the weekend should be mild and sunny, gradually ramping up to some nice hot beach days the following weekend.

As the 2024 tornado season winds down, meteorologists are noticing that that tornadoes are becoming more frequent, deadlier, and spotted more to the east of what we’ve previously considered Tornado Alley.
