Currently in Chicago — June 12, 2024: Wednesday Warm-up

The weather, currently.

Tomorrow would be an excellent day for heading to the lake, followed by an evening potentially punctuated with thunderstorms. Thursday will bring temps close to the 90s and gusty winds, then a break in the heat and clear skies returning by Friday.

It feels like the year has been slipping past; the summer solstice is only about ten days away. I’m thinking about visiting a new Native American earthen artwork installation to mark the midsummer this year.

Though the garden has lagged due to something nibbling down my plants, we are getting pounds of sweet Japanese turnips. I’ll pickle some for tacos and beach visits.
