Currently in Chicago — August 30, 2024: A lovely holiday weekend & a fond farewell
Plus, a special message from our Founder, Eric Holthaus
The weather, currently.
Storms Friday, then a great holiday
A gradual decrease in temps leading up to the Labor Day weekend follows our record-breaking start to the week, with a low of 75 tonight and a high in the mid 80s on Friday. Showers and thunderstorms could appear Friday, but all three days of the holiday weekend should be gorgeous, from a high of 83 on Saturday stepping down to a low of 62 on Monday night. Here’s a general forecast for the rest of Fall, 2024.
Today will be my last missive to you, so I’m glad to be giving you good news for the long weekend. I have a few final saved links to share, but mostly I want to say thank you to my readers for your support during this experiment in climate change awareness and education by Currently. Special thanks goes to Eric Holthaus, who gave me this opportunity in the first place.
Welp (slaps knees), I really should be going…
